One of the oldest one-day agricultural shows in the country and a great day out for all the family. With livestock competitions, horticulture and cookery displays and competitions, main ring displays, dog show, children’s rides, trade stands, a shopping village and food hall, vintage vehicles and tractors there is plenty to keep all ages entertained throughout the day!

Wayland Show sample-19

We are busy organising another great Wayland Show for 2023.

The family-orientated Wayland Show will reflect the heritage of the region and the countryside of the 21st century, and provide visitors old and new with a truly rural show experience. New and exciting interactive events and competitions will offer visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy hands-on experiences. The Wayland Show committee have been working with the local community, organisations and groups to combine skills and talents to ensure that the 2023 Show is indeed a regional celebration, proud of its heritage yet looking to the future.

Exciting interactive events and competitions will offer visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy hands-on experiences. Whether that means the chance to sit in a shiny new combine harvester, or a close-up experience with a Suffolk horse, or the chance to ‘have a go’ at livestock judging, there will be something available to ensure a memorable day for everyone and you'll certainly be entertained by the humorous kiwi-style Sheep Show.

At the heart of the 2023 Show will be all that is best from the region – quality livestock, unique craftsmanship, local musicians, and local foods and produce.

We are keen to promote local participation to truly reflect the diverse cultural heritage of our area.

a message from our president

I would like to thank our sponsors and supporters, for it is with their financial help and the work of the hard-working committee throughout the year, that the Show is able to go ahead.

We rely totally on volunteers to run the Show, so if you can help us in any way, please let us know. There has been much talk recently that too much screen time is, not surprisingly, bad for our health and general well-being and that connecting with nature, not surprisingly, is good for our health! So bearing these two facts in mind, enjoy your family day out with us, reconnect with nature and the countryside and learn a little about where our food comes from together with all the attractions that we have put on for you today.

I am a great believer in keeping our rural traditions and pastimes going, as in this ever-changing world it is so easy for these events to disappear.

So thank you for attending and helping to keep the Wayland Show alive. Enjoy your day.
